This week, a man was stabbed on a moving metro train, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Thursday, at 12:20 p.m., officers responded to a complaint about a stabbing. A verbal altercation reportedly broke out between the victim and suspect as they traveled south toward Eglinton Station, according to the police. The suspect then repeatedly stabbed the victim before fleeing at Eglinton Station, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries.
The victim’s condition is currently stable.
Online videos depicted the immediate aftermath of the incident, indicating that the suspect may have also pursued the victim down the length of the metro train before the vehicle stopped at Eglinton Station.
Moses Lewin, 25 years old, was located and taken into custody on Friday. In addition to two counts of failing to comply with a release order, he has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault.
Today, Lewin is slated to appear in court at 10 a.m.
