As he faces domestic violence charges, the talent agency Entertainment 360 has dismissed actor Jonathan Majors.
Following an incident with a 30-year-old woman, Majors was accused of and subsequently charged with assault and harassment. He must appear in court on May 8th.
According to Deadline, Majors was recently dismissed by both his talent agency and the PR film Lede last month.
“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and was likely involved in an altercation with a woman he knows,” Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ criminal defence attorney, said in a March 27 statement. We are rapidly gathering and submitting evidence to the District Attorney in the hope that all charges will be dismissed in the near future.
Majors recently starred opposite Michael B. Jordan in Creed III. In response to the allegations, the U.S. Army removed a series of advertisements featuring the actor.
The victim reportedly sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital after the alleged altercation on March 25.
Majors has denied the charges. Recently, his attorneys disclosed text messages between Majors and the unidentified woman in question.
One of the texts read, “I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone.”
The destiny of majors in Hollywood is currently uncertain. His character, Kang the Conqueror, was recently featured in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and is expected to be the next major adversary in the MCU.
He will also play a significant role in season 2 of Loki, which will premiere this summer. Also scheduled for 2025 is Avengers: Kang Dynasty, which will be the first Avengers film since Avengers: Endgame. It now appears unlikely that Majors will continue to serve in this capacity within the MCU.
