After making a sensation in 2001’s The Princess Diaries and having a significant makeover, Anne Hathaway has developed into quite a beauty. Has she ever undergone plastic surgery, since there have been rumours about her throughout the years?
Fans have questioned if she got rhinoplasty because her nose looked wider in that position than it does now, but after landing the post of Lancome’s spokesperson in August 2008, she dispelled those rumours.
She said, “I wanted a nose job, but now my nose is what lets me change my face so much. I can be glamorous as Agent 99 in Get Smart, then look rough as a drug addict for (director) Jonathan Demme in Rachel Getting Married.”
If you’re an actor, your face needs to have personality; otherwise, you’re just a face, Anne said.
The actress brushed off rumours that she had buccal fat removed in January 2023, when she attended the Valentino Paris Fashion Week event and saw a noticeable difference in the shape of her face. Her cheeks and jawbones were more prominent as a result of the surgery, which involves removing fat from in between the cheekbones and jawbones.
When the Oscar winner published a bedside Instagram selfie on January 21, questions from fans also focused on her features. She was urged to “Drop the skincare please,” by a fan who was curious how she kept her face looking so young and wrinkle-free. Some admirers assumed she had Botox, while others attributed it to her exceptional genetics.

In September 2022, the Les Miserables actress’ facialist, Su-Man, revealed her beauty secrets to Net-a-Porter, claiming that “Anne is incredibly disciplined when it comes to her skin.” She regularly massaged her skin and applies a lot of SPF 30 to shield her face from UV rays.
In 2019, Anne joked, “F–kers,” while stating that her main skin worries were “dryness, redness, and crow’s feet.” Ageing is a gift, after all. She also admitted that, despite the fact that it was expensive, her Japanese infrared-light face wand was entirely worthwhile and was recommended by her makeup artist, Gucci Westman.
