Two brothers have been charged with the sexual exploitation of two teenage females in Toronto.
In February, Toronto police issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a 19-year-old man suspected of recruiting and bringing a 15-year-old girl from the Greater Toronto Area to engage in the sex trade in the city.
The girl was subjected to four days of sexual exploitation at a short-term condo rental, according to police.
“All proceeds from the sex trafficking were transferred to the wanted man,” they allege.
Ultimately, the police rescued the child during their investigation.
Sebastian “SB” Lucchessi was named as the accused. Initially, he was sought for 11 charges.
Saturday, authorities announced that Lucchessi and his 19-year-old brother Kye Lucchessi had been arrested.
They further allege in the news release that another 15-year-old girl was “procured” into the sex trade in October 2022.
In November 2022, after being rescued by officers from a short-term condominium rental, one of the suspects purportedly assaulted the girl.
Sebastian Lucchessi faces 18 charges, including disseminating intimate images without consent, two counts of transmitting child pornography, trafficking in persons under the age of eighteen by recruiting, and assault resulting in bodily injury.
His broker Kye was detained in November of last year and charged with six crimes, including procuring/person under 18 years, material benefit from sexual services provided by person under 18 years, and trafficking in persons under 18 years of age by exercising control.
The police suspect there may be additional victims.
“The police would like to encourage all victims to come forward and disclose instances of human trafficking. We want to ensure that everyone has access to support services and an exit strategy, irrespective of their decision to engage in criminal activity.”
