Will Smith and Charlie Theron co-starred in the movies Hancock (2008) and The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000). And although though these movies couldn’t be more dissimilar from one another, they do have one thing in common: Charlize Theron suffering injured at the hands of her Will Smith. Although the actress recalls being knocked unconscious, she doesn’t hold her co-star responsible and harbors no animosity toward him.

Will Smith was simultaneously prepping for his role as the illustrious boxer Muhammad Ali in the 2001 film Ali while he was filming The Legend of Bagger Vance. Smith spent a full year attempting to comprehend Ali and his life in order to excel in the part. He engaged in dialect instruction, learned about Ali’s faith, and engaged in up to seven hours of daily boxing exercise. Despite receiving positive reviews from reviewers, the movie did poorly at the box office.

Seven years later, on the set of Peter Berg’s Hancock, the two would reunite, fulfilling Theron’s ambition.
Smith portrayed John Hancock, a superhero with superhuman strength, invulnerability, and the capacity to fly. But in addition to these superpowers, John also possesses an alcoholism and a recklessness that bring trouble wherever he goes. Given how Theron was affected by Smith’s irresponsibility in real life, Smith may have invested a little too much in the role.
Theron recently recalled how the Men in Black actor was meant to act out a slap for the purpose of a scene, but things got too real too fast. The co-stars haven’t decided who is to blame for the accident yet, though.
He once attempted to smack me without actually doing so, but the attempt failed. This one is still up for discussion. I believe he just struck me! Will, meanwhile, maintains that I leaned into his hand, which is what caused the incident. I was totally astonished.
Again, Theron expresses no resentment for the actor hitting her, saying that they are both just like little toddlers. We’re simply like kids, it’s so much fun, she remarked. He doesn’t abuse women. We’re pleased the Mad Max: Fury Road actress made it clear that nothing was serious and they were just having fun!
